Merrigong provides the people of our region with a range of creative opportunities and experiences. Here are some of the ways we support our community...
- Commissioning, developing and producing new theatre works, telling important stories about our region and community
- Supporting numerous independent artists to develop their professional practice through our Theatre Development Program and Independent Artists Program
- Providing a range of affordable educational events and creative opportunities for children and families, including the annual South Coast Children's Festival
- Delivering a number of specific community focussed arts projects, such as indigenous dance workshops in schools, and our mixed abilities theatre project
And of course, we also provide a nationally recognised program of quality theatre, dance and children's programming throughout the year - entertaining and inspiring thousands.
Of course, all of this costs quite a lot of money...
Did you know that only 18% of Merrigong Theatre Company's revenue comes from Government funding? To keep these important programs running (and to grow them in the future) we need the financial support of individuals and companies in our region.
Now there is a way you can help support this important work!
Make a tax deductible donation of $150 or more and you'll join Merrigong's Inner Circle. For 12 months you will:
- Get invitations to exclusive special events
- Have your donation acknowledged in Merrigong's annual report
- Be recognised on our Inner Circle board in the IPAC foyer
- Get a VIP invitation to Merrigong's Season Launch (includes priority seating)
- Receive regular Inner Circle updates on how donations are being used to support our programs.

Become a Merrigong volunteer
We have a great team of people who volunteer their time on everything from ushering to assisting in our offices. There are also special events at which you can volunteer, like the South Coast Children's Festival and Merrigong's Season Launch. We also offer a few longer term roles, where people volunteer their time and gain experience in a specific area of the performing arts industry. Align your organisation with Merrigong Theatre Company through direct financial support or in-kind services.
